If you run out of internal memory, just move your installed apps to the SDcard. Go to the settings, Applications, and select the apps, you want to move to the SD card.

The second way, is that, when you copy the .APK file to the SD, and browse it, and start the installation from there.
Tip: during the installation, do not use your phone. It will be slow if you don't let id do only that.
